Study Abroad: Ireland

A post-trip report and pictures from my year in Ireland studying in Galway. I attended the National University of Ireland, Galway, and studied physics and math, as well as rain, Guinness, sheep, and the infinity that is the color green.

Just a few blocks from my flat: the diving tower at Blackrocks. Author airborne. Nice shooting Elizabeth.

Bivy in the dark on the Aran Islands
Inismore, Ireland

I knew I was close to the water when I set the bivy up in the dark. I did not know how close...

...nor how substantial the cliff was.

Ross Erilly Friary
County Claire, Ireland

The friary is a maze of stone walls, tombs, staircases... I would've loved to see it working. You can still see ovens, fireplaces, second floor layouts, etc... Amazing.
